How to Create Video Profiles in Windows XP - Airship DVR

How to Create Video Profiles in Windows XP
These instructions will explain how to create two video profiles on a PC running Microsoft Windows.
The first profile will use normal (or default) settings, and the second profile will modify the contrast and
brightness of the video display to a low intensity for night use. The profiles may be adjusted as desired.
What is a Video Profile?
A “Video Profile” (a.k.a. “Preset”) is a collection of settings which describe the appearance of the video
display. If the default display settings (color, hue, brightness, resolution, contrast, etc.) need to be
temporarily changed, the default settings and the new settings can each be saved to their own profiles.
Multiple profiles can be created to accommodate multiple configurations. A keyboard shortcut or
“hotkey” can then be assigned to a profile to activate the desired settings. Using hotkey’s provides the
ability to switch between display settings “on-the-fly”.
Required Software
The examples in this document were created using the ATI Catalyst Control Center on Windows XP and
an ATI graphics adapter. If a different OS or graphics adapter is installed, the procedures will be
different but the basic steps for creating a profile using the adapter’s Control Panel software will be
similar.
