Workplace & Community CPR/AED Training: Students learn how to properly
perform CPR/AED in accordance to 2010 update for Adult, Child and Infant through lecture,
video, demonstration and hands-on exercises. Training includes proper use of Personal
Protection Equipment (PPE) and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED). Students will
receive a CPR/AED certification card valid for 2 years which is from ASHI a nationally
recognized certification institute. This training is approx 3 hours long and is in accordance to
OSHA general industry standard 29 CFR 1910.151.For Shipyard Industry 29 CFR
1915.98.
Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Training: Students learn how to
properly perform CPR/AED for Health Care Providers in accordance to 2010 update for Adult,
Child and Infant through lecture, video, demonstration and hands on exercises. Training
includes proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Automatic External Defibrillator
(AED), bag valve mask and other personal barrier devices. Student will have to pass a
practical and written test at the end of class prior to receiving a Health Care Provider Card
through American Heart Association. This training is approx 4 hours long and is accordance
with State of Florida Health Department and OSHA general industry standard 29 CFR
1910.151.
Basic First Aid Training: Students learn how to respond appropriately until professional
help arrives. Topics include scene survey, victim assessment, control bleeding, shock
management, medical emergencies and victim stabilization. Personnel will receive a First Aid
certification card valid for 2 years which is from ASHI a nationally recognized certification
institute. This training is 2 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA general industry
standard 29 CFR 1910.151.For Shipyard Industry 29 CFR 1915.98.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Students learn how to properly protective
themselves from body substances that may be contaminated. Topics include
personal protective equipment, notification procedures, signs, labels, clean-up, development
of training records and post-exposure obligations. Students will receive a Bloodborne
Pathogens certification card valid for 2 years which is from ASHI a nationally recognized
certification. This training is 2 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA general industry
standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.For Shipyard Industry 29 CFR 1910.1030.
Hazard Communications (HazCom) Training: Students learn how to use a
Materials Safety Data Sheet, identify a hazard, and how to safely contain a spill. Training also
addresses employee and employer rights and responsibilities. This training is 2 hours long
and is in accordance to OSHA general industry standard 29 CFR 1910.1200.For Shipyard
Industry 29 CFR 1910.1200.
Lock out/Tag out Training: Students learn the proper steps in the lockout/tag out
regulation and specific instruction regarding electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment in
your facility based on your company's written plan. The course includes practice using
appropriate Lock out/ Tag Out devices. This training is 2 hours long and is in accordance to
OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.147.For Shipyard Industry 29 CFR 1910.147.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Students learn how to properly use PPE for
hand, eye, head, face, foot protection and personal fall arrest systems training. Training
includes site-specific/job specific instruction in the availability and proper use of PPE. This
training is 2 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA general industry standard 29 CFR
1910.132. For Shipyard Industry 1915.153, 1915.155, 1915.156, 1915.157, 1915.158,
1915.159.
Respiratory Protection Safety Training: Students learn the proper use of
respiratory protection for air purifying respirators only, which include inspection procedures
and cleaning. This training is 2 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA general industry
standard 29 CFR 1910.134. For Shipyard Industry 1915.154.
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Training (SCBA): Students learn how to
properly use their self contained breathing apparatus SCBA, supplied air breathing apparatus
(SABA), types of respiratory hazards, inspection procedures, and cleaning. This training 2
hours long and is in accordance to OSHA general industry standard 29 CFR 1910.134. For
Shipyard Industry 1915.154.
Fire Extinguisher Training: Students learn the different classes of fire, proper
selections of fire extinguishers for incipient stage fires, monthly inspections of fire
extinguishers, and company's emergency action plan. This training is 2 hours long and is in
accordance with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.157. For Shipyard Fire Watch 19115.504
& 1915.508.
Confined Space Entry: Students learn how to properly identify a confined space, the
hazards inside of the space, proper use of a fall arrest system how to understand confined
space entry document. This training is approx 8 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA
standard 29 CFR 1910.146. The required training prior to class is CPR/AED & First Aid,
Respiratory Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, Lock out/Tag out, Hazard
Communication & Self Contained Breathing & Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus. For
Shipyard Employees 1915.11
Confined Space Rescue: Students learn confined space rescue. Training includes
utilization of your company's on-site equipment and practical hands-on confined space
rescues within your designated confined spaces based on company policies and procedures.
This training is 24 hours long and is in accordance to OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.146 The
required training prior to class is CPR/AED & First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP),
Respiratory Protection, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Lock out/Tag out, Hazard
Communication & Self Contained Breathing & Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus. For
