Mission: The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) promotes
youth development through service for the benefit of our environment
and community.

Larimer County Conservation Corps
AgriCorps: Our newest program piloted in 2011 is a part-time,
volunteer-based program for youth ages 14-16. Corpsmembers
volunteer 80 hours over a four week period working on and learning
about sustainable agriculture projects that donate local, healthy food
to needy families in Larimer County.
Partners include: High Plains Environmental Learning Center,
Gardens at Spring Creek, Happy Heart Farm, Spring Kite Farm, and
more.....

Larimer County Conservation Corps
Land Crew: Our traditional summer land conservation program
serves young adults ages 16-19. The Land Conservation crews
complete conservation projects in parks and open spaces in Larimer
County such as trail maintenance and construction, ecological
restoration and invasive species management.
Partners include: City of Fort Collins Natural Areas, City of Loveland,
Rocky Mountain National Park, Division of Wildlife, Lory State Park,
and more.....

Larimer County Conservation Corps
Sawyer Crew: This program serves young adults ages 18-24.
Members of the Sawyer Crew receive federally-recognized chainsaw
training (S-212) and spend the summer removing invasive Russian
Olive trees, and pine-beetle-killed hazard trees that pose safety risks
to trail users in Larimer County. Typically this crew camps each
week.
Partners include: Colorado State Forest Service, High Park
Restoration Coalition, Great Outdoors Colorado, and more.....

Larimer County Conservation Corps
Water and Energy Crew: Corpsmembers ages 18-24 serve for four
months in the winter season. Participants receive training through the
Building Professional Institute and Lightly Treading and are given the
opportunity to become certified as home energy auditors. Our
Corpsmembers perform home energy assessments and retrofits free of
charge for utility residents of Fort Collins and Loveland.
