ADVANCED LEVEL – A’ Levels
• Grades in
 1987 new system
 Moved from A-E with lower being granted Ordinary
 “N” was introduced (Nearly Passed)
• Curriculum 2000
 Special Criteria for each grade
 “N” was abolished
ADVANCED LEVEL – A’ Levels
• Between 1980-2000
 Moved from Linear course to modular
 Offer greater breath to the students
• Following Curriculum 2000





Introduction of AS & A2 exams
Example- A level consists of 4 modules (6 for Nat. Sci)
2 studied the first year (can be stand alone as AS)
2nd year the 2 modules are the A2 (not stand alone)
AS + A2 completes the A level
