Abstract

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for supplying an
electromagnet and for controlling electromagnets, and consists of a
bridge of rectifier elements (D1-D4), a single winding (M) which is
connected between the DC terminals of the bridge and is connected in
series with a reduction contact (C2) which is closed during the
driving phase of the armature of the electromagnet and is opened
during the holding phase, and of a reduction resistor (R). This
circuit arrangement is distinguished in that the reduction resistor
(R) is connected between one of the AC terminals of the bridge (A1 or
A2) and one of the terminals of the winding (M).

CIRCUIT D'ALIMENTATION D'UN ELECTRO-AIMANT, COMPORTANT UNE
SEULE BOBINE ET DES RESISTANCES DE REDUCTION.
L'invention se rapporte a un circuit d'alimentation d1un
electro-aimant, comportant un pont d'elements redresseurs, un
enroulement unique branche entre les bornes a courant continu du pont,
en serie avec un contact de reduction ferme pendant la phase d'appel
de l'armature de l'electro-aimant et ouvert pendant la phase de
maintien et une resistance de reduction connectee en parallele sur le
contact de reduction.
Dans un tel circuit d'alimentation, pendant la phase d'appel de
l'armature de l'electro-aimant, la r.esistance de reduction est
court-circuitee par le contact de reduction et, par consequent,le
courant redresse qui circule dans l'enroulement est important; par
contre, pendant la phase de maintien, la resistance de reduction est
en service et, par consequent, le courant redresse qui circule dans
l'enroulement est reduit.
Ce montage connu presente l'inconvenient de necessiter l'emploi d'une
resistance de reduction bobinee de forte puissance, chere,
relativement fragile, et qu'il n'est pas possible de realiser dans un
montage integre a bobine surmoulee.
L'invention propose de supprimer cet inconvenient et de permettre
l'emploi, dans un circuit d'alimentation du genre susvise, d'une
resistance de reduction dans laquelle la puissance dissipee pendant la
phase de maintien sera considerablement reduite.
Suivant l'invention, ce resultat est obtenu en branchant la resistance
de reduction entre l'une des bornes a courant alternatif du pont et
l'une des bornes de l'enroulement.
Les avantages de l'invention apparaitront clairement a-la lumiere de
la description ci-apres.
La figure unique du dessin annexe represente schematiquement un
circuit d'alimentation conforme a l'invention.
Le circuit d'alimentation represente au dessin comprend, branche entre
les bornes A1 A2 du reseau, un pont de diodes D1-D4 aux bornes a
courant continu (points de jonction entre
D1 D2 et D3 D4) duquel est branchee une bobine unique M, en serie avec
un contact de reduction C2. Le contact de commande generale de
l'electro-aimant est designe par C1.
Un resistance de reduction R est branchee entre A1 et la borne de la
bobine reliee a C2 par exemple.
Pendant la phase d'appel, C2 est ferme et le courant redresse normal
passe dans la bobine M a travers C2.
Pendant la phase de maintien, C2 etant ouvert, le courant qui circule
dans la bobine et dans la resistance R, au lieu d'etre un courant
redresse bi-alternance comme dans le montage traditionnel, est un
courant redresse monoalternance circulant de la diode Dl-D2 servant de
diode de roue libre.
On peut demontrer que pour un meme courant moyen redresse dans la
bobine, la puissance dissipee dans la resistance se trouve
sensiblement divisee par-deux par rapport au montage traditionnel.

are available, you can toggle them on and off here.

6. The pie chart icon will open a basic statistical breakdown of the
publication.
7. The sort icon allows you to sort the listed categories based on
the number of instances found.
Click to toggle between ascending and descending.
8. You can use the refine box to refine the discovered items in the
sections below.
Simply type what you are looking for, any items that do not match
will be temporarily hidden.
9. The publication has been analysed and we have identified items

The specific items found are listed within the category headings.
Click the section header to open that section and view all the
identitfied items in that section.
If you click the checkbox all items in that section will be
highlighted in the publication (to the right).
The best thing to do is to experiment by opening the sections and

10. The main output window contains the publication full text (or part
thereof if selected).
11. The Tools section contains tools to help you navigate the
"discovered" (highlighted) items of interest.
The arrows and counter let you move through the highlighted items
in order.
12. Other tools include a "Preview" option [ [preview.png] ] and the
ability to mark the relative locations of highlighted items by
using the "Marker" option [ [marker.png] ].
Try these out to best understand how they work, and to discover if
they are of use to you.
13. Items selected from the menu on the left will be highlighted in
the main publication section (here in the middle of the screen).
Click them for further information and insights (including
chemical structure diagrams where available).
14. Please experiment with TextMine - you cannot make any permanent
changes or break anything and once your session is closed (you've
log out) all your activity is destroyed.
