I
La presente invention a pour objet un pro-
cede de purification d'uranium hexafluoroldecon-
tenant des traces de plutonium fluoride et/ou de
neptunium fluoride.
On sait que l'une des sources principales
d'uranium hexafluoride pour la separation des iso-
topes d'uranium par diffusion gazeuse provient du
retraitement des combustibles irradies Lors du re-
traitement, les combustibles sont traites generale-
ment par voie humide pour separer l'uranium, le plu-
tonium et d'autres elements transuraniens A la fin
de ce retraitement, on recupere generalement l'ura-
nium sous la forme d'une solution de nitrate d'urnitrate-
nyle qui contient encore des traces de neptunium et de plutonium
produisant un rayonnement alpha de l'ordre de 5000 d p m
(desintegrations par minute) par gramme d'uranium (norme UNIREP 4
15000 dpm g u avec pour Pu/Utotal pm) (r PM&#x003E; a l'entree 2324

REVENDICATIONS
1 Procede de purification d'hexafluoride d'uranium contenant des
traces de fluorure de neptfluoride- nium et/ou de plutonium fluoride,
caracterise en ce que l'on met en contact l'uranium hexafluoride a
purifier avec un fluoride metallique choisi dans le groupe comprenant
le lead fluoride Pb F 2, les uranium fluorides de formule UF 4 +x dans
laquelle x a une valeur allant de O a 1 et le trifluorure
detrifluoride chromium Cr F 3, a une temperature telle que les fluoru-
res de plutonium et/ou de neptunium soient reduits, et en ce que l'on
recupere l'uranium hexafluoride ainsi purifie.
2 Procede selon la revendication 1, ca- racterise en ce que le
fluoride metallique etant le lead fluoride, on met en contact
l'hexafluoride d'uranium avec ce lead fluoride a une temperatu- re de
70 a 150 C.
3 Procede selon la revendication 1, ca- racterise en ce que le
fluoride metallique etant le chromium fluoride Cr F 3, on met en
contact l'hexa- uranium fluoride avec le chromium fluoride a une
temperature de 70 a 200 C.
4 Procede selon la revendication 1, ca- racterise en ce que le
fluoride metallique etant un uranium fluoride de formule UF 4 +x, on
met en con- tact l'uranium hexafluoride avec ce fluoride d'uranium a
une temperature de 70 a 250 C.
5 Procede selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 a 4, caracterise
en ce que le fluo- rure metallique est sous la forme de poudre.
6 Procede selon la revendication 5, ca- racterise en ce que la poudre
a une surface specifi- que BET de 1 a 25 m 2/g.
7 Procede selon l'une quelconque des re- vendications 5 et 6,
caracterise en ce que la poudre de fluoride metallique est disposee
sur un support inerte.
8 Procede selon la revendication 7, ca- racterise en ce que le support
inerte est constitue par des billes d'alumine.
9 Procede selon la revendication 7, ca- racterise en ce que le support
inerte est constitue par un tube macroporeux en alumine ou en nickel
qui est revetu d'une couche microporeuse dudit fluoride metallique.
Procede selon l'une quelconque des re- vendications 1 a 9, caracterise
en ce que l'hexa- uranium fluoride contient egalement des traces
d'agent fluorant et en ce que l'on met tout d'abord en contact, a une
temperature de 70 a 250 C l'hexa- uranium fluoride a purifier avec un
uranium fluoride de formule UF 4 + x, et l'on met ensuite en contact
l'uranium hexafluoride ainsi traite avec un fluoride metallique choisi
dans le groupe compre- nant le cobalt fluoride Co F 2, le fluorure
defluoride lead Pb F 2 et le chromium trifluoride, a une tempe- rature
telle que les plutonium fluorides et/ou de neptunium soient reduits.

You can select "Full Text" to view the entire document.
5. For non-latin languages, (in most cases) full text translations
are available, you can toggle them on and off here.
You can also toggle the inline discovery translations between
English and their original language.
6. The pie chart icon will open a basic statistical breakdown of the
publication.
7. The sort icon allows you to sort the listed categories based on
the number of instances found.
Click to toggle between ascending and descending.
8. You can use the refine box to refine the discovered items in the
sections below.
Simply type what you are looking for, any items that do not match
will be temporarily hidden.

ability to mark the relative locations of highlighted items by
using the "Marker" option [ [marker.png] ].
Try these out to best understand how they work, and to discover if
they are of use to you.
13. Items selected from the menu on the left will be highlighted in
the main publication section (here in the middle of the screen).
Click them for further information and insights (including
chemical structure diagrams where available).
14. Please experiment with TextMine - you cannot make any permanent
changes or break anything and once your session is closed (you've
log out) all your activity is destroyed.
