Shuvalovo
“Shuvalovo” polygon
Main tasks:
• Modeling of the oil pollution migration.
• Modeling of oil pollution of the inter moraine
aquifer.
• Assessment of the pollution migration to
surface water objects.
“Polustrovo” polygon
• Protection of the ground water deposits against
pollutants migration from upper aquifers.
• Modeling of flooding caused by ground water.
• Estimation of chemical changes caused by negative load
to ground water.
• Development of the recommendations to reduce
negative impact to ground water in Polustrove area.
Required input data
• information on all boreholes and wells used for different purposes:
water-intake boreholes; private boreholes, monitoring, stratigraphic
wells, etc;
• static and piezometric levels;
• groundwater table;
• aquifer thickness;
• climatic parameters: intensity of atmospheric precipitation ,
temperatures, etc;
• hydrological data on rivers: level, runway, morphometric
characteristics, flow-rate, etc.;
• geometry of the system: data on the roof and subface of lithological
strata;
• tested filtration parameters (filtration coefficient, transmissibility,
porosity, etc.);
• chemical composition of groundwater.
