CPPM Upgrade - version 7.04 from Access 97 to Access 2007/2010 format Information: CPPM has been upgraded to use Microsoft Access 2007/2010 as the application software. The current version uses Access 97, and in order to be compatible with the software installed on user computers, the upgrade is being made. The functionality of CPPM has not been modified. The only change that has occurred is the move to a newer software version. Please review the following slides for installation instructions and general information regarding the upgrade. 1 Checking Your Access Version Note: If you have Access 2003 or a trial version of Access, please go to slide 12 for installation instructions. Windows 7 1. Click on the вЂњStartвЂќOrb 2. Click on вЂњAll ProgramsвЂќ 3. Click on вЂњMicrosoft OfficeвЂќ You will see a list of Microsoft Office Programs installed on your computer with the version beside it (2003, 2007, or 2010). 4. Open Access and make sure it opens without any issues. Some users may only have a trial version, and if that is the case, go to slide 12. 2 Windows XP 1. Click on вЂњStartвЂќ 2. Click on вЂњProgramsвЂќ 3. Click on вЂњMicrosoft OfficeвЂќ You will see a list of Microsoft Office Programs installed on your computer with the version beside it (2003, 2007, 2010). 4. Installation Steps Note: If you receive different pop ups than the below, go to slide 3. пЃЅ Open the URL: http://updates.enercon.com/cppm/2007/ and click on вЂњDownload CPPMвЂќ. пЃЅ Click on вЂњRunвЂќ to run the installation update. пЃЅ One of the below pop ups will open depending on your computer in regards to an unknown publisher. Click on вЂњRunвЂќ or вЂњYesвЂќ to continue. пЃЅ Click on вЂњOKвЂќ to complete the installation. 3 Installation Steps (alternative) Note: Please skip this slide if youвЂ™ve completed the installation using slide 2. пЃЅ Open the URL: http://updates.enercon.com/cppm/2007/ and click on вЂњDownload CPPMвЂќ. Click on Actions. пЃЅ Click on the вЂњMore OptionsвЂќ drop down. пЃЅ Click on вЂњRun anywayвЂќ to continue. пЃЅ Click on вЂњOKвЂќ to complete the installation. 4 Opening CPPM after installation Microsoft Office Configuration Installer пЃЅ After the installation completes, you will have the вЂњCPPM_2007вЂќ shortcut on your desktop that you will use to open CPPM. Note: If you are missing the shortcut, go to C:\CPPM and copy the CPPM_2007 shortcut to your desktop. пЃЅ The first time you open the upgraded version of CPPM, Microsoft Office will automatically run a quick installation to configure Access 2007/2010 since Access 97 was previously used. The installation will only run one time unless you use continue to use both Access 97 and Access 2007/2010. After the configuration is updated, CPPM will open. пЃЅ Click on вЂњYesвЂќ if prompted by Windows User Account Control to open Access. 5 Microsoft Office Access CPPM Toolbar Menu and Export Toolbars пЃЅ To the right is the CPPM Main Menu form, which has not been modified. пЃЅ The only change you will see in CPPM is the toolbar. The CPPM Toolbar has a icons that will allow you to do the following: пЃЅ Export to PDF пЃЅ Close the form window пЃЅ Export to Excel пЃЅ Export to Word пЃЅ Print пЃЅ Print Preview Close пЃЅ **Note: The last on the toolbar is the print preview close button that will only show when a report is opened. Export to PDF 6 Close Form Export to Excel/Word Print Print Preview Close (will only show when a report is open) Toolbar Reference пЃЅ When you open a report in CPPM, the Print Preview Close вЂњXвЂќ will appear. After youвЂ™ve printed or saved the report, you will click on the вЂњPrint Preview Close XвЂќ to exit the report and return to the previous form. Note: the first X closes forms and will not close the reports. пЃЅ When you open a form that does not have a вЂњCloseвЂќ button, you can click on the вЂњCloseвЂќ command from the menu bar. This is the same as the вЂњxвЂќ in a window. пЃЅ If you do not see the full CPPM toolbar, click on the drop down arrow that is above or below the toolbar and uncheck вЂњminimize toolbarвЂќ by clicking on it. 7 uncheck Appendix 8 Missing Scroll Bars Reference A B Missing from вЂњAвЂќ 9 пЃЅ If you are missing scroll bars or other boxes such leave time on the timesheet form (A), your display resolution needs to be adjusted. Once adjusted, you should see all form data (B). пЃЅ To adjust display settings, see slide 9. Note: Each monitor is different, so you may have to make a few changes in order to see all data. Adjusting Display Settings вЂ“ Windows 7 (if needed) To adjust display settings: пЃЅ Click on Start, Control Panel, Display. If you have your text size set to Larger or Medium, change it to вЂњSmallerвЂќ and then click вЂњapplyвЂќ. YouвЂ™ll have to log off and log back on for the settings to be changed. пЃЅ If that does not resolve the issue, click on Start, Control Panel, Display, Screen Resolution and change the resolution size to a higher resolution. You can test different resolution sizes to see what works for your monitor. 10 Adjusting Display Settings вЂ“ Windows XP (if needed) To adjust display settings: 1. 2. 3. DPI Adjustment: Click on the вЂњSettingsвЂќ tab. Click on вЂњAdvancedвЂќ and make sure the DPI Settings are set to Normal Size (96 DPI). If not, change it to Normal. Click вЂњapplyвЂќ and вЂњokвЂќ in the monitor and then log into CPPM to see if that resolved the issue. . 1 Font Size Adjustment: If the above changes did not work, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display. Click on the вЂњAppearanceвЂќ tab. If you have your text size set to Large or Extra Large, change it to вЂњNormalвЂќ and then click вЂњapplyвЂќ and вЂњokвЂќ. YouвЂ™ll have to log off and log back on for the settings to be changed. Resolution Adjustment: If that does not resolve the issue, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display. Click on the вЂњSettingsвЂќ tab. Change the screen resolution size to a higher resolution (towards вЂњmoreвЂќ). Click вЂњapplyвЂќ and вЂњokвЂќ in the monitor settings and then the settings tab. You can test different resolution sizes to see what works for your monitor. YouвЂ™ll have to log off and log back on for the settings to be changed. 11 3. 2. 1. 2. 1. 3. 2. Access 2003 Users Only Installation Guide Based on slide 2, if you have Access 2003, please go to http://updates.enercon.com/cppm/runtime/ 1. Click on вЂњRuntime InstallationвЂќ to install the runtime version of Access 2007. Follow the instructions as prompted during the installation. 2. After installing the runtime version, click on вЂњDownload CPPMвЂќ. Once itвЂ™s been downloaded, a shortcut called вЂњCPPM_2007вЂќ will be placed on your desktop. If you do not have the shortcut added, go to your C:\CPPM folder and copy the CPPM_2007 shortcut to your desktop or create one by right clicking on the CPPM_2007.accdr file, choosing вЂњcreate shortcutвЂќ. #2 #1 12 Note: You may receive different pop ups when running the file.
