1. Inter-lacing

or loop of another thread (e.g. L / S)
2. Inter-looping

Passing of a loop from another loop of another
thread
(e.g. Over-edging, Cover stitch)
3. Intra-looping

Passing of a loop from another loop of the same
thread (e.g. Blind Stitch)
