Problem Statement
п‚— Design and build a remote control airplane that can
lift as much payload as possible while meeting the
restrictions given by the organizers of the event.
п‚— Represent Florida International University in the
SAE Aero Design Series competition.
Design Objectives
п‚— Implement numerical analysis and knowledge
acquired in the design process to solve a real-life
challenge.
п‚— Research in several aerodynamic designs by
performing wind tunnel testing
п‚— Analyze design alternatives based on cost and
manufacturing possibilities
п‚— Optimized aircraft to obtain higher efficiency
Regular Class Requirements
п‚— Maximum combined length, width, and height of 175
inches.
п‚— Aircraft may not weight more than fifty-five pounds
with payload.
п‚— The use if Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is
prohibited.
п‚— Single electrical motor configuration.

manufacturing process and units so that our design
can be employed in different areas of the world.

rules and regulations.
